Construction of a bespoke shoe

TAKING THE MEASUREMENTS

In order to create your shoes, Dimitri will first take precise measurements of your feet.

To begin with, he will trace the contours of your foot with a pencil held at 90°, a requirement for obtaining a perfect outline. Then, he will note on his measuring sheet the relative locations of the toe segments and the ball of the foot, as well as any special dimensions of the foot.

He then measures down to the millimeter the length, width, height and perimeter of the two feet, of the insteps, of the big toes, and of each joint.
